Self Imposed Limitations

“A fish doesn’t even know it’s in water.”

Just the word limitations gives me the chills. It makes me want to test it just to oppose it.

The roadblocks that we face today are a result of what we were taught over our lifetimes. Think about it. Children don’t fear what they don’t know about. They learn things like fear, embarassment and guilt. They do things without fearing what others will say about them. They move, play and live as though they are limitless.

Think about all the things that roadblock you on the way to that dream life. These are truly the ONLY things that stop us. We are skilled at overcoming problems that are thrown at us externally, but limits that come from inside are a much greater obstacle.

Today, try to identify the limits that come from the “little voice” in your head. Understand where you learned them from – and then use every tool in your arsenal to not let them stand in your way. Don’t let yourself – stand in your way … !

Till next time.

Blogging and Making Money Online

Good morning everyone !

I think that one of the unwritten duties of bloggers and those with online sites that have a readership is to provide sites and authors they feel have a message that could benefit their readers. People connect with others for different reasons, but when someone’s message is in line with what you do, you should let your readers know so they may benefit as well.

I don’t do alot of promotions mainly because my site is not as salty as some that are more well-established on the internet. I don’t know either of these guys and my opinions are given without a push from the almighty dollar. What I do know is, you – the reader, could really learn a thing or two (as I did) by visiting them. With that being said…

I ran across these two guys yesterday, both working parallel, but with different sites. They are :

Blogger Unleashed by Victor Franqui

and

Make Money For Beginners by “Grizzly”

For the hardcore, no bullshit rundown on blogging, I would wholeheartedly recommend that you visit Victor’s site. His videos and articles explain things that normally are not shared in the online world of blogging and making money. This real, “behind the scenes” look at making money online is furthered by Vic’s use of a language style that I know, use, and love – the four letter words !

Vic asks that you not take everything he says as law, but that you listen and open your mind to the possibility that you may have been fed a line of shit by “online know-it-alls.” Visit him and listen to his messages.

Griz’s site also has a wealth of material and articles that shoot holes in even more online money fallacies.
Additionally, search both of their sites for a great debate on the “SBI Scam.” Its an “eye-opening shit-storm !”

Till next time….Expect Nothing – Take Everything !

Stop Making Excuses To Quit

Warning: This article is not going to coddle you into continuing your journey for success. It is going to hit you hard with the baseball bat we call Aggressive Motivation.

Nowadays there are a million and one reasons why you won’t continue with whatever your hustle is. Bad economy, bleak outlook, it’s not “easy”, you don’t see results, blah, blah, blah. Making excuses is easy. Persistence is hard. Let me tell you a little secret….

None of your excuses mean shit.

If that stings a little….that means we’re on to something.

I am convinced that a large portion of the population are whiners. The latest nationwide excuse for the sky falling is a significant downturn in the economy. It has become the generic, all-purpose excuse for why you can’t do…whatever. Almost everyone has been effected in one way or another by this situation – but why are you letting it stop you ?

How About That…It Really Is Free

For regular readers of Leaders Personal Development Blog and Website, my intent is to post relevent content articles that will help you be the best and keep you motivated in a time when life conditions are not all that rosey.

With that in mind, I have installed a new catagory into my list titled “Rants.” This catagory will allow me to deviate slightly to ideas, situations and concepts that are relevant to Personal Development, but will include some of my abrasive commentary and dry humor on the subject. I warmly welcome you to the “Human” side of Leaders Personal Development – by introducing this premier blog post.

As any regular blog or website owner will tell you, we search almost endlessly for strategies and tactics to optimize traffic to their particular site. I am not obsessed with it, but I look for a tip here or a nugget there. I am confident that with time, honesty, and good content, my site/blog will flourish on its own merits – not those that are “paid for.” That brings me to the topic of this post.

As I was scouring my daily sites this morning, I came across a post that claimed a visit to a particular site would assist you in “optimizing” your site for the search engines to find you and drive significant traffic as well. I read this long page with testimonials, supporters and those that claim to be making 6 figures simply by following the techniques. Long story short…..zoom to the end of the page….and all this could be had for the bargain basement price of $ 300.00.

Seriously?

What happened to the days when people helped you because they wanted to? We are all here together. For those who have “made it” – how about ya turn ya ass around and reach out to someone else. All of my content and articles on Leaders Personal Development are FREE. Yup. There it is…FREE. No cover charge, no enrollment fee, no early termination fee… – Just Free. It is set up with the intent to help others stay motivated when they feel that the shit in their lives is about to hit the fan.

Don’t get me wrong here. I have products that I endorse, clickable advertising links, and a humble donation button installed on the site. I have bills that need to get paid, and I’m a fan of being able to eat once in a while. But I write with the intention of helping those who see no light at the end of the tunnel. As you well know, my style of writing is just slightly more gritty than those found at your local book store. In the end, my price of admission is the satisfaction of knowing someone who has lost hope is reading my site and has chosen to press on despite seemingly insurmountable odds.

As I close the end of my rant – is what you do set up with the intention to truly help others? Business is business but do you ever wonder why this world is in the middle of such a crap sandwich? Maybe if we each extended a hand to just one person (other than ourselves) we could take someone with us on the way up the corporate ladder…

Keep your head up and stay aggressive…!! Till next time.

School of Hard Knocks – Don’t Chase It – Let It Chase You

Whether you know it or not – you’re in a chase. Whatever it is that you are chasing, do you think you are getting closer? Or does it seem to be off in the distance?

Today’s Lesson – Don’t Chase It – Let It Chase You !

Have you figured it out yet? Almost everyone involved in personal growth or self improvement is chasing something or someone. What is it for you?

Success, love, happiness, fame & fortune? It is basic human nature to want more. When we have identified what we want, we do the traditional methods of goal achievement – develop a plan to achieve it, try to identify the roadblocks, and then perservere by plowing ahead despite fear or disappointment. Has that game plan worked out for you? If it has – stick with it ! If not…maybe we could change it up for some better results. Here we go – hang on !

School Of Hard Knocks – You Can’t Teach Common Sense

This concept is one of the foundations upon which The School Of Hard Knocks is based. Bearing that in mind, it is also one of the most overlooked pillars of personal development.

First class screw-ups are everywhere. You could take the better part of the month plowing over videos on YouTube and reading stories from this years’ Darwin Awards highlighting trips, flubs, and gross lapses in judgement.

Common sense is defined as -”sound practical judgment that is independent of specialized knowledge, training, or the like; normal native intelligence.” It is pretty much the absolute minimum level of cognitive awareness – (I wouldn’t even classify it as “intelligence.”) Additionally, common sense, as you well know is typically not taught in a classroom setting – but gained through life experiences.

School of Hard Knocks – Handle Your Business

Welcome to the first lesson taught in the School of Hard Knocks !

Class Is Now In Session !

In times when conditions are hard, people have the tendency to blame others for their misfortunes.

Not enough money, not enough love, too many problems, a shitty up-bringing – whatever it is…the first part of facing whatever it is you don’t like is to take responsibility for it.

Make the decision here and now to stop the bitching and fingerpointing and accept the responsibility for where you are in life. If it happened to you – you did it ! If you like it – keep it. If you hate it…fix it.

How To Get Everything You Want In Life By Refusing

As students of self-improvement, we are taught throughout our studies, a generic formula for achieving our goals. For anyone that has studied for some time – the concepts are typically scrambled and repeated.

I don’t know about you, but I have a hunger for reading the latest material in search of a new “secret” or strategy someone has for getting all that I wish for. I think that hope is what keeps alot of us going in our search to better ourselves.

In today’s challenging times, many new problem-solving philosophies are based around the concept of “thinking outside of the box.” Use your mind to construct a creative and unique way to overcome the obstacle that differs for the normal.

Old-school methods of manifesting your dream life are standard – and work for the most part. But…

…as with anything else in life – if you tweak it and fine-tune it, you’ll see essentially the same tactic, but with a new set of eyes. What happens is you build on a solid foundation – but make it better, faster, more effective, and more efficient. For those in the cheap seats – it is the same strategy – with a new twist.

It is similar to steering a ship. If you change the direction – even by 1 % – you’ll end up in an entirely different place from where you originally set out to go – simply by making this minor adjustment.

This minor adjustment – is about the way we think of how we will make our dream life come together. You know the basics…brainstorm a goal, identify the roadblocks, plan your strategy, and persist until you get there. Here is the tweak…

Refuse.

You know what you want to achieve, and we are taught to “look ahead” to the future and visualize those great things as being completed.

How about where you are now…?

Do things suck ? Are the bills high and the money low ? Are your relationships strained or beyond repair ? Is your health and fitness the last thing you have to worry about ?

Decide now to refuse where you are. You know that shit – “When life give you lemons – make lemonade.” How about – “When life give you lemons – throw’em the hell back – screw lemons !”

If things blow as bad as you think they do now, then maybe looking ahead to a life of money, success, and happiness is a little too far off in fantasyland – right now.

Instead, look at the problem from where you stand. Decide that “I’m not gonna drag myself through this toilet that I call my life anymore. I deserve better – and even though I can’t yet see the light at the end of the tunnel, I’m not sticking with this dump any more !”

Refuse to accept the hand you were dealt. Throw back those lemons and go get the good stuff. It is this small change in how we look at the problem that will change our thinking. This thinking change will then open up a whole new set of ideas to fix what you don’t like in your life.

Now, don’t overwhelm yourself by thinking you need to have all the answers of HOW you’ll fix everything. All you need to know right now is –

“I don’t know how to get there, but I DO know – I don’t want to be HERE!”

Now change that thinking …. take the first step to that dream life…..and go make yourself some apple juice…
